San Clemente Seafest

This past weekend we heading on down to the San Clemente pier to check out their Seafest and chowder cookoff.

We really enjoy San Clemente however we rarely head on down. This gave us a reason to visit.

The weather was a bit warmer then we were expecting (high 80's for October at the beach...boooo) But it was a beautiful day despite the heat.

We were able to sample all the chowder contestants and cast our votes.

V was loving the tastings......He really is a foodie.

The one chowder we really liked (from a restaurant) was right on the ocean...we might have to go back and have a bowl when an event isn't going on.

There was a surfing contest going on as well so when we were done with the chowders we hung out under the pier for a bit an watched.

There were the usual festival type vendors as well as a lobster bake as well if you were into that, the smell wasnt turning us on.

Overall it was a nice way to spend a Sunday.
